Wang Bing

Wang Bing (王冰, fl. 762 CE) re-edited the Suwen in the Tang, restoring it to eighty-one chapters and supplying commentary. The text as it has been read for the last twelve centuries is essentially his.

He is also the reason the Suwen contains the seven treatises on the five motions and six qi — passages he added from another source and which do not belong to the original compilation.
