Tài yīn zhī jué, zé fù mǎn chēn zhàng, hòu bù lì, bù yù shí, shí zé ǒu, bù dé wò.
In inversion of greater yin the belly is full and distended, the stool does not pass, there is no wish to eat, eating brings vomiting, and one cannot lie down.

Suì shuǐ bù jí, shī nǎi dà xíng, zhǎng qì fǎn yòng, qí huà nǎi sù, shǔ yǔ shuò zhì, shàng yìng zhèn xīng. Mín bìng fù mǎn, shēn zhòng, rú xiè, hán yáng liú shuǐ, yāo gǔ tòng fā, guó shuàn gǔ xī bù biàn, fán yuān, zú wěi qīng jué, jiǎo xià tòng, shèn zé fū zhǒng.
In a year of water falling short, dampness then moves greatly, the qi of growth to maturity is used in reverse and its transformation is hastened, and summer rain comes repeatedly; it answers above to Saturn. The people are ill with fullness of the abdomen, a heavy body, soggy discharge, cold sores that run with water, pain breaking out in the loins and thighs, the hollow of the knee, the calf, the thigh and the knee no longer moving easily, freting oppression, limp feet with clear counterflow, pain under the foot, and, if it is severe, swelling over the instep.

The Emperor asks: how does one take yin and yang as a model? Qi Bo says: when yang prevails the body is hot, the interstices close, and the breathing is coarse so that one bends and stretches. When sweat does not issue and the heat persists, the teeth are dry and there is vexatious oppression; with abdominal fullness, death. Such a person can endure winter but not summer. When yin prevails the body is cold and sweats, the body is constantly chilly, one shivers repeatedly and feels cold; with cold there is inversion, and with inversion and abdominal fullness, death. Such a person can endure summer but not winter. This is the change wrought by yin and yang prevailing in turn — the form and capacity of disease.

The era of Mounded Height is called widened transformation: its thick virtue is clear and still, it follows growth and fills, the utmost yin is full within, and beings are transformed and brought to fullness; smoke and dust are murky and pent up and appear upon the thick earth; great rain moves in its season, the damp qi comes into use and the governance of dryness is turned aside. Its transformation round, its qi abundant, its governance still, its command complete all round, its movement dampness accumulating and gathering together, its virtue soft, moist, heavy and muddy, its change thunder-shaking, wind-driven rain and collapse, its grain panicled millet and hemp, its domestic animal the ox and the dog, its fruit the jujube and the plum, its colour yellow, black and blue-green, its flavour sweet, salty and sour, its image late summer, its channels the foot greater yin and yang brightness, its viscera the spleen and kidney, its creature the naked and the hairy, its thing flesh and pit, its illness abdominal fullness and limbs that cannot be raised. A great wind comes swiftly and evil injures the spleen.
